| GBRC DOMINATES THE FIELD AT THE PUMA FINAL |
| Greater Boise Running Club swept both the men's and women's races at the fifth annual fall cross country
championship sponsored by PUMA and Fit Right Northwest. On a rainy 50 degree day over extremely hilly and
muddy terrain both teams moved right to the front and claimed clear victories. The women were led by Olympic
Trials Qualifiers Cynthia Mauzerall (Marathon Trials 2004) and Holly Fleming (Marathon Trials 2008) in the
front of long line of Greater Boise athletes with the top four women finishing a mere 40 seconds apart over
the 5000m distance. Eddie Earnest-Jones and Jake Stout led much of the men's 8000m race stringing out the
field to establish room for the remaining GBRC athletes to maneuver through the field and control the race
from start to finish. |
