CONGRATULATIONS TO HOLLY FLEMING AND EDDIE ERNEST-JONES FOR REALIZING A LIFE LONG DREAM OF OLYMPIC TRIALS QUALIFICATION


HIGHLIGHTS;
Holly Fleming
Holly moved to Boise specifically to train with GBRC with a lifetime best of 3:09 in the marathon. She is 38 years old and a cancer survivor.
2007-08 results;
  • 9/22/08       St. Lukes Women's Fitness Celebration 5k      17:34 8th place
    (1st Idaho finisher)
  • 10/6/07       St. George Marathon      2:46:34 9th place (1st in age 35-39)
    Holly lives the dream in lowering her lifetime best by more than 20:00 and qualifies for the 2008 Olympic Trials Marathon in Boston.
  • 3/15/08       Basic 5 Miler      28:54   1st place
  • 4/20/08       US OLYMPIC TEAM TRIALS WOMEN'S MARATHON 2:55:59 110th
    On a cold and windy day Holly posted the 3rd best of her career at the Olympic Trials Only 154 women nationwide qualified for the event in the two year window available Holly is the only Idaho qualifier for either the men's or women's trial in 2008

  • Eddie Ernest-Jones
    Eddie moved to Boise from Florida specifically to join GBRC and Coach Dilley. At age 31 he realized his dreams.

  • 10/6/08       Harvest Classic 8k     23:20 1st place (lifetime best and course record)
  • 3/8/08         UWashington last chance Indoor 5k     14:06 5th place
    (this mark qualifies eddie for the british olympic trials at both 5k and 10k)
  • 4/4/08         Charles Bowles Celebration of Distance hosted by Willamette University 5000m 14:24 1st place in a field of over 40
  • 5/4/08         Lilac Bloomsday 12k (2nd largest road race in the country with over 48,000)
    Eddie runs one of the finest races of his life finishing 22nd in a time of 36:44 in a loaded international field that saw the bloomsday course record fall. This is the second fastest GBRC mark on the course all-time.
  • 6/14/08       BRITISH OLYMPIC TEAM TRIAL @ 10,000m Watford, England
    Eddie lowered his 10k best by 1:15 posting a 29:22 for 6th place. this is his best track race in over seven years.
